It's here.
I have received the oh so yummy Chocolate Bar Palette by Too Faced. I really did have no intention of getting this palette at all. Like, at all. But I was on the page for it on Sephora and suddenly I was getting a confirmation e-mail fr my purchase....yeah......
So anyway, the Chocolate Bar Palette is Too Faced's newest palette featuring 16 shades inspired by the yummy treat, plus it was rumored to smell like chocolate.
It does.
The palette does most definitely smell like chocolate, milk chocolate to me and has an absolutely gorgeous box and the palette itself is really pretty on the eyes as well.

One of my complaints with the palette is the naming system. All the color names are on this thin transparent removeable and loseable piece of plastic instead of on the palette tray.
Now I've seen this palette being compared to the Lorac Pro Palette a lot online and while the colors are kind of similar, this palette is still vastly different and not as pigmented. Then again I think the only palette as pigmented as my LP palettes are my Sugarpill Palettes and whatever loose pigments I own...Anyway, that's another review for another time, I may do a comparison though. Not to say this palette isn't good, it's just not as good as my LP palette. Now compared to my NAKED3, more colors, more sensible mattes buuuut I still dunno. I've seen people saying if you need one you don't need the other but that's not really true. Aside from the fact that no eyeshadow palette is a need, this contains more day to day neutrals that I see working for more people opposed to NAKED3.
Now pigmentation wise some of these colors do better with a white base, others look better without. It's weird. The supposed to be highlight colors are a little to chalky for my liking (and to light for me to use as a highlight), but everything else goes on nicely. The mattes are really smooth, the shimmers are just ok. Not great, not fantastic, but ok. They're good.
Now I did try something new. I tried showing with and without a white base/primer all on one eye. So the inner portion of my eye has just primer [Tarte 12 hour primer] and the outer part of my eye has a white base [Coastal Scents Camo Quad Concealer - White Color]. I thought I had less time then I actually did so I was trying to rush so these are really...messy, and I do apologize now. I'm going to try this same trick with my Lorac Pro Palette but at the same time do it a lot....better. Anyway, on to the color swatches!
Favorite Shades: Candied Violet and Creme Brulee
Least Favorite Shade: White Chocolate
Would I Recommend: I dunno. If you don't have a neutral palette or own few neutral palettes this may be a good buy for you. There are cheaper alternatives though like the Coastal Scents Warm Palette [which I do have and will probably do a review on at some point...But there are a lot of shades in that], but I still like this over the NAKED1 palette. Now if you have a lot of neutral palettes I think it's safe to skip though.
AGAIN: The inner portion of my eye has just primer [Tarte 12 hour primer] and the outer part of my eye has a white base [Coastal Scents Camo Quad Concealer - White Color].

Now I will say Strawberry Bon Bon is actually a nice shade of pink when used correctly. It just looks weird here.
And here's a look with the palette. I used Champagne Truffle on the inner corner, Strawberry Bon Bon, Candied Violet, and then Semi Sweet on the crease.
