My muse was smacking me in the face and would not let me be productive or finish anything until I made this bag.
So I found this very easy tutorial by CheapbutChic1 on Youtube for a DIY brush roll and I HAD to make it. Like my fingers were itching and I wasn't going to go to sleep that night unless I made it.
Anyway, this is actually my first project of the year and I'm happy to say it only took me about an hour total, maybe an hour thirty max, to make. I did do things a bit differently from the tutorial though.
1. I didn't use canvas as I didn't have any. I used a soft lining in the middle, one fabric for the outside, and one for the inside.
2. No ribbon (or well I found it once I was done), so I took an old durag that no one was using, snipped off the long tie around parts, and used it in place of ribbon. Kinda long, but as the bag turned out to be a bit thick, I'm ok with that!
3. I used bigger measurements as I had more brushes I wanted to put in.
4. Instead of taking a piece of canvas and sewing it to another piece, I just folded the bottom of my inner fabric up, pinned, sewed, and cut my outer piece to match those measurements.

Kinda bulky [no thanks to my Tarte foundation brush I'm sure], but I'm happy with it! I used the orange fabric as I'm going on a cruise for this lovely ladies band [Hayley Williams of Paramore] and wanted something well, orange, bright, and sunny for the bahamas!
But that's it ladies and gents!
Until next time!
